The holidays inspired me with this very appropriate (and seasonal) combination. I teamed up with a friend of mine who made some amazing peppermint homemade ice cream and we ended up with a dynamic duo!! This is a dark chocolate babycake with a peppermint schnapps butter cream frosting topped with of course...crushed candy canes!!!
This lovely cake is perfect ALL year round. It didn't used to be on the menu for many different reasons but it was in so much demand that I had to do it and boy am I glad I did!! Welcome to the world of red velvet. I can assure you that this is different from anything you've tasted...and I can't tell you why. :-) Red velvet cake with a vanilla bean cream cheese frosting to DIE for!!!!
