The holidays inspired me with this very appropriate (and seasonal) combination. I teamed up with a friend of mine who made some amazing peppermint homemade ice cream and we ended up with a dynamic duo!! This is a dark chocolate babycake with a peppermint schnapps butter cream frosting topped with of course...crushed candy canes!!!
Life should be about enjoyment and happiness. It should be no less than sweet. Sometimes things get hard and we get discouraged, but we keep on. So live life to the fullest, be happy, be sweet and let life be sweet to you!!!

tasted...and I can't tell you why. :-) Red velvet cake with a vanilla

St. Patty's Day meets Girl Scouts!!

Last month we celebrated St. Patrick's Day and in my quest to be the ultimate hostess, I threw a little shindig. In the spirit of the holiday I decided to make Mint Chocolate Chip Babycakes. Since I used to be a Girl Scout and my wonderful Niece Cadence is one as well, I thought I'd put a twist on the traditional babycake on our menu. These are a dark chocolate babycakes with chocolate chips topped with a mint butter cream frosting. I decided to place crumbles of Thin Mint cookies and top it off with the cookie itself. They were definitely a hit!! Enjoy!
